Note: Engine DJ 5.2.0 is exclusive to RANE SYSTEM ONE users. A future Engine OS update may introduce support for additional hardware features, where applicable.

Known Issues

  • When connecting to djay Pro with playlist folders expanded, the RANE SYSTEM ONE screen may display incorrect playlists.
  • Playlist Bank icons may not appear in the EOS Library view for saved Computer Source playlists on the RANE SYSTEM ONE.
  • Instantly doubling a streaming track over a Computer Source track may result in beatgrid misalignment on the RANE SYSTEM ONE.
  • The Sort Direction button is unavailable when no library sort option is selected.
  • The Platter Reverse button may display an incorrect LED state when using Computer Sources on the RANE SYSTEM ONE.
  • Track End Warning notifications are not currently displayed when playing from a Computer Source.
  • Disconnecting from the device and relaunching djay Pro during a session may occasionally result in audio stuttering after reconnection.
  • Disconnecting from the device and relaunching djay Pro during a session may occasionally cause Control Surface LEDs to remain off after reconnection.
  • When navigating to a playlist using the RANE SYSTEM ONE screen, focus may be placed on the playlist header instead of the track list.
  • Hot-plugging the USB connection to a laptop may occasionally route audio through the computer instead of the RANE SYSTEM ONE.
  • Interacting with the RANE SYSTEM ONE screen immediately after connecting to djay Pro may occasionally result in a track being loaded to a deck unexpectedly.


FAQ

  • When I try to save a playlist to a Playlist Bank slot, I receive a message saying the playlist cannot be assigned. Why does this happen?
    • Algoriddim djay supports several playlist types, including playlists from streaming services, djay Music, and other sources. However, only playlists located within the My Collection section can be assigned to Playlist Bank slots. If you try to assign a playlist from another source, the assignment will not be allowed, and you'll see this message.
  • If I activate Instrumental mode and then enter Stem Level mode to adjust the vocal level using the High EQ knob, the vocals never return. Why?
    • This is expected behavior in djay. Neural Mix stem level controls operate independently from the instant Stem buttons and Stem Pad modes. When an Instrumental, Acapella, or Stem Pad function is active, it overrides Stem Level adjustments for the affected stem.

      To adjust the vocal level (or any other stem), first disable any active Instrumental, Acapella, or Stem Pad function. Then enter Stem Level mode and use the corresponding EQ control to adjust the desired stem level.
  • Can I connect my RANE SYSTEM ONE to more than one DJ application at the same time?
    • The RANE SYSTEM ONE can only be actively used with one DJ application at a time on a connected computer. However, you can continue to use other Engine sources alongside your computer source, including USB drives, SSDs, and supported streaming services such as Apple Music and SoundCloud.

      For the best performance and reliability, we recommend opening only the DJ software you intend to use. Running multiple DJ or music applications at the same time may cause unexpected behavior, audio routing issues, or MIDI conflicts.
  • What should I do if I experience connection or audio issues when using my RANE SYSTEM ONE with a DJ application?
    • First, make sure you are running the latest version of your supported DJ software and that your RANE SYSTEM ONE is updated with the latest firmware. We also recommend verifying that your computer meets the minimum system requirements for the DJ application you are using.

      If you continue to experience connection or audio issues, restart your computer and ensure you are using a high-quality USB cable suitable for data and audio transmission.
